WHO WE ARE

ANGELO TEIXEIRA

Chef

Angelo is a highly experienced chef born and raised in Brazil.
He has been influenced by a diversion of different cultures from his time travelling and exploring his own cultural roots. 

​

His passion for growing organic food inspired him to always experiment and create new dishes.

​

Angelo went to culinary school in Australia to learn basic techniques of the cuisine world, but a lot of his knowledge comes from his curiosity of Ayurvedic philosophy and nutrition, and permaculture which gave him a more holistic understanding of the elements of nature, food and it's cycles. 

​

Angelo built experience in the kitchen through working in vegan, middle eastern and farm to table restaurants around Australia.

RACHEAL HARRIS

Co-owner, Sensory Experience Facilitator, Kitchen Assistant

Racheal (she/her) has her foundations in caring for others. She is passionate about creating safe spaces for others to explore their edges with curiosity and playfulness.

​

She is the lead facilitator of our Sensory Dining Experiences, combining story telling with mindfulness to guide participants through an exploration of the human senses.

​

Racheal has years of experience working within the hospitality industry and supporting people living with disabilities which has given her a strong attention to detail and the needs of others. 

​

She has travelled to India more than once to pursue her ongoing studies of yoga and buddhist meditation practices. 

​

She is interested in the intersection of yoga, psychology and social justice and has completed further studies in trauma-informed practice. She is currently enrolled in a Counselling and Psychotherapy degree.

​

Racheal brings with her a grounded and holistic approach to Gaia Cuisine.
